My staple grocery list:
* Pine nuts
* Craisins
* Feta cheese
* Parmesan cheese
* Apples
* Tortillas
* Refried beans
* Cheddar cheese
* Sour cream
* Chicken tenderloins
* Marinara sauce
* Pasta
* Green onions
* Garlic
* Pizza crust
* Popcorn
* Fiber One bars
* Lemons
* Limes
* Yogurt

I don't even know why I make elaborate menus with new fandangled recipes. I wear myself out after about three and spend the rest of the week making pasta, burritos and snobby salads.
p.s. Please don't judge me for my cheese obsession.
p.p.s. What's always on your grocery list?

I'm laughing because we have such different eating tastes. The only things that are similar/on my list - apples, tortillas, pasta, garlic, popcorn, lemons, limes.
Definitely no cheese here. Poor Ben!
Usually I buy the following every week:
Whole Milk (for my son, not for me)
Cilantro
Hunt's Fire Roasted Tomatoes (I like making blender salsa w/ them)
Grapefruit
Bananas
Yellow onion
Meat if it's on sale
Granola bars
Applesauce
Jasmine rice
And now I'm drawing a blank. What do we make for dinner?? Half the time I resort to something frozen from Trader Joe's. I'm kind of on a cooking strike...
The staples:
homous
pitta bread
apples
blueberries (if we can get them)
bananas
blueberry wheat bites
cous cous
sausages (always useful when little friends turn up for dinner)
white rice
apple juice
Smoothies (the only fruit my little one will have)
Craisins, Raisins, Dried berries and cherries (all these are in hopes to supplement the non-fruit eater's fruit intake)
stuff for tuna pasta (our nothing in the house fall back)
stuff for baking
the deal here is that i won't judge you for your cheese obsession, if you won't judge me for mine. as i type, i have the following cheeses in my fridge:
mild cheddar
mozzerella
pepperjack
parmesan - grated
parmesan - shredded
provolone
laughing cow wedges - swiss
laughing cow wedges - garlic and herb
laughing cow mini babybels
string cheese
and last, but certainly not least, feta, of course
the funny thing, is that it never even occured to me that i had that many cheeses in my fridge until right now. but they're always there.
as for the rest of the staples on my list:
chicken
cilantro
pine nuts
tortillas
barilla plus pasta
red, yellow and orange peppers
ginger root
garlic
basmati rice
stirfry sauces
herdez salsa
hint of lime tortilla chips
kashi crackers
captain crunchberries (go ahead, judge me)
romaine hearts
onions
green onions
simply apple juice
simply orange juice
crystal light
a pineapple
special k bars
strawberries (i'm dying now that they're not in season!)
ok i'll stop. now i'm hungry.
My staples are "Whatever I get for free with my coupons" (I'm so obssessed) and hopefully I remember to pick up a few fresh items as well. We eat lots of Mexican food over here.
Don't you just LOVE cooking with chicken tenderloins? They're so much faster and easier than chicken breasts. And have you tried the Rosarita refried black beans? They're yum (for refried beans).
a cheese list without Brie? that's the most-gobbled one in my house. Mmm...
other staples--wild-caught salmon, apples, grapes, bananas, pears, onions, garlic, cilantro, lentils, dried cranberries, sweet potatoes, steel-cut oats, flaxseeds, broccoli. and cheese cheese cheese. i like to go to the european grocer for my cheese, however. the bland stuff in the grocery case just doesn't cut it. unfortunately this means I only have decent cheese every couple of months or so, since I can't foot the price tag for $10/lb cheese on a weekly basis.
oh, and have you ever watched Pushing Daisies? I felt a kinship with Chuck the first time she referred to a 'fridge as a "cheese box."
lots of cereal. lots of it.
The biggest thing we can't live without is milk. 2%. Who knows if this milk obsession will last when I'm done being pregnant, but for now, I can't get enough of it! Also on our "staples" list: bread, eggs, cheddar, butter, apples, Prego, pasta, lettuce, and Pizza Rolls for my man.
I am obsessed with certain foods...and it goes in phases. Right now I always have to have eggs, sour cream, bread and butter. I feel like I can always make a great meal with these things, as long as I have the rest of my staples already. By the way, don't start making mashed potatos with sour cream instead of milk...you'll never go back!
Well ... it goes without saying that ranch dressing, black AND green olives and 73 different kinds of cold cereal are staples in my kitchen.
My latest food-obsession-du-jour is artichoke hearts. Not the marinated variety, mind you, just the regular canned ones.
Oh ... and chocolate chips. Duh.
i make sure to never run out of refried beans. i currently have 27 cans in my pantry and i buy the costco packs weekly. my personal motto is, if you don't like beans then i don't like you. good thing most people are fans.
i'm a sucker for the fiber one bars.
My full list depends on the sale items, but typically every week I buy:
milk
cheese
apples
bananas
onions
lettuce
tomatoes
I also stock up on items so my pantry/freezer is never without:
chicken
pepperoni
olives
diced tomatoes
tomato sauce
refried beans (fat free - they are just as good I think)
rice
garlic
pasta - of all types
peanut butter
flour (and various baking ingredients)
chocolate
OK I won't bore you anymore. Man now I need to get a snack.
I never judge someone else's grocery cart and/or list. It's fun to look, but hey, only to see if there's something I might like to try.
What's always on my list?
Milk (1%) - we drink around 6 or 7 gallons a week - 3 teenagers and 2 adults... and we like milk.

Other than that I make sure I always have:
